The Elephant In The Black Box’s mission is the broad promotion and dissemination of dance art and repertoire through a stable community. Open to all styles, dance languages ​​and general movement arts, it encourages Spanish and international creativity. Founded in 2013, the Elephant in the Black Box Dance Company (EBB) is composed of artists from major dance companies from different countries. Elegance, rigor, fluidity and excellence are the hallmarks of EBB, which experiments with contemporary staging and themes.

Jean-Philippe Durie has danced as a performer and choreographer with the Paris Opera, Ballet de Monte Carlo, National Dance Company, Montreal Grand Ballet and many other international gala events. As a teacher, he has been invited by prestigious dance schools. In Madrid, in 2016, he launched an extensive project for dance and young people. He is the house choreographer of the Leipzig Opera Ballet and has choreographed more than 15 pieces and EBB has performed at numerous international festivals.
