The dance company Catalunya Ballet located in the city of Terrassa is a remarkable example of the work that is being done in dance in Spain. It is a very good company to audition.
The Catalunya Ballet’s mission is the broad promotion and dissemination of dance art and repertoire through a stable community. Open to all styles, dance languages and general movement arts, it encourages Spanish and international creativity. It supports new audiences and their national and international performances, in full artistic and creative autonomy.
The Catalunya Ballet was created to fill a void that had existed in Catalonia for decades. It is a dance production center with its own personality, capable of presenting a large amount of classical repertoire while fostering the creation of new contemporary works that appeal to all audiences.
With internationally renowned dancers, teachers and choreographers, the BNC has developed a unique artistic program of classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire. In addition to works by internationally renowned choreographers, the BNC also presents works by some of the greatest Catalan choreographers in the history of dance. We want to open our doors to a new generation of dancers and create a new synergy in the world of dance.
