The 10 & 10 DANZA’s mission is the broad promotion and dissemination of dance art and repertoire through a stable community. The contemporary dance company 10&10 Dance was founded in October 1989 in Madrid, Spain. Its founders are Nati Aguilar, Pedro Berdäyes, María Fernández del Castillo, Eduardo Ruiz, Mónica Runde and Fernando Vera. The choreography was inspired by Pedro Berdäyes’ victory in the Third International Dance Competition in Madrid, where the entire group, including himself, danced the dance «Kitatióh».

The first program, HORA PUNTA, laid the foundation for the company until 2004, when it had two artistic directors, Pedro Berdäyes and Monica Runde, who were responsible for the production and the rest of the ensemble, while we were the translators. From 1989 to 2001, 10&10 Dance was distinguished, among other things, by the fact that the two spectacular independent choreographic works of Berdäyes and Runde were always performed under a common title, and thus inseparable. After Berdäyes left the company in 2005 to teach at the Royal Academy of Professional Dance in Madrid,1 Monica Runde, who was also the company’s artistic director, danced the dance as a soloist.

10&10 Dance participates in festivals and theaters in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
