Do you practice classical dance at an ambitious level and would you like to be part of the cast? LookBallet advises you on how to maximize your chances of success before you put on your dance clothes and start warming up!
Relax and Unwind
It’s no use coming to the audition with dumplings and, above all, a stomach ache! Before the audition it is better to let the body rest, above all to avoid great physical exertion or excessively intense training.
The same applies to hygiene. Before the casting, avoid abuse (drinks, food, etc.) and try to adopt healthy attitudes so that your body is in the best possible condition.
Do some visualization work
When you’re stressed it’s easy to lose your mind… And after putting on your ballet shoes avoid having small episodes of amnesia or forgetting the choreography! To fix this, don’t forget to visualize your sequences.
Meditation and breathing exercises are also a bonus!
Have your dance bag ready in advance
Don’t forget to prepare everything in advance so you don’t forget anything on D-Day. Feel free to organize a checklist where you write down everything you need: dance clothes, a water bottle, a towel, ballet shoes…
A little tip: plan a little snack too! Low blood pressure can be long lasting and can be avoided with a piece of fruit or an energy bar.
