The dance company caraBdanza located in the city of Madrid is a remarkable example of the work that is being done in dance in Spain. It is a very good company to audition.

The caraBdanza’s mission is the broad promotion and dissemination of dance art and repertoire through a stable community. Open to all styles, dance languages ​​and general movement arts, it encourages Spanish and international creativity. It supports new audiences and their national and international performances, in full artistic and creative autonomy.

The dance group CaraBdanza was founded in Madrid in 2007 under the artistic direction of Gonzalo Díaz. From the beginning, the company has worked in an inner state in which each participant is in contact with himself, with his feelings, stories and thoughts, and is connected to his environment.

In his choreographic work, Gonzalo Dias has searched for his own language before creating a distinctive work with interdisciplinary elements and through contemporary dance, where technique has a real place. In this sense, the company has included a wide range of dance works in its program and has opened its doors to new guest choreographers.

CaraBdanza is a stable group built on the art of its dancers. They won prizes at the 21st Madrid Dance Competition, placed second at the 7th Burgos International Dance Competition – New York, and performed at prestigious events such as the 29th Madrid Dance Festival (Spain) and the Alto Jonio International Dance Festival (Italy). Its work has been recognized with participation in festivals.

The cast of caraBdanza dance company is made up of male and female dancers and for the most part the technique they dominate is mostly contemporary technique, but also classical dance technique.

The structure of the company is streamlined hierarchy with only two ranks, soloist/corps.
